FUJIFILM XS-10 SHOTS
Having gotten more than a few international trips under my belt, the next logical thing to learn was photography! For my first camera, I researched between different brands, interchangeable lenses vs point-and-shoot, etc and debated how much did I truly want to spend.
I settled on the Fujifilm XS-10 ($1200 on a sale with the 18-55 lens) in November 2023. But, in all honesty, maybe I should have waited a few months for the next version of the X100V, the X100VI (but we will not fret!)
I have taken it to Patagonia (Argentina and Chile), Peru, and various spots within my home state of California. Unfortunately, though I read about RAW+JPG, I did not realize the format changed per setting and everything from Patagonia/Peru was JPG.
It's been a learning process, and the photos TRULY do come out with so much more depth and versatility than the iPhone Pro (but also much harder to learn/shoot quickly). Still learning about lighting, debating a small tripod for travels, and practicing shots with people in them!
Here are the photos I have loved the most from those trips.
More to come~
